- Wide range of grain sizes: To meet different requirements, we offer our filter gravel in various grain sizes:
- 0.40-0.80 mm
- 0.71-1.25 mm
- 1.00-2.00 mm
- 2.00-3.15 mm
- Durable and resistant: Thanks to the robust nature of our filter quartz, a long service life and high resistance to abrasion are guaranteed.
Possible applications
Reliable water filtration is essential in industrial and agricultural applications. Our filter gravel offers the necessary performance and durability to withstand even high loads.
Swelling clay, also known as sealing clay
Our swelling clay, also known as sealing clay, is an indispensable material for anyone planning or already operating well projects. This natural clay is characterized by its excellent sealing properties. When swelling clay comes into contact with water, it swells and forms a dense, impermeable barrier. This property makes it ideal for sealing the edges of wells, water pipes and other water-bearing systems.
License plate
- Natural impermeability: swelling clay offers a natural, environmentally friendly solution for sealing water sources and effectively prevents the ingress of unwanted substances.
- Durability: Thanks to its robust and resistant structure, the swelling clay remains dimensionally stable and functional for years to come.
- Easy to use: Our swelling clay is easy to handle.
- Environmentally friendly: natural product without chemical additives.
- Economical:Long-term solution that minimizes costly repairs and maintenance work.
We offer various source clays:
Mikolit® 00 – Low swelling sealing clay in pellet form
Mikolit® 00 is an innovative sealing clay that has been specially developed in pellet form to ensure optimum volume retention while reliably closing the gap volume. This mixed clay product consists of naturally occurring clays and activated bentonites, which gives it its unique properties.
Product features
- Water-saturated clay layer: After absorbing water, Mikolit® 00 forms a water-saturated, soft clay layer that is perfect for waterproofing.
- Excellent pouring properties: Mikolit® 00 is dust-free and has a very delayed onset of swelling. The pellets have favorable dimensional ratios that enable easy and clean application.
- No bonding: There is no bonding between the drill pipe and the sealing clay, which significantly improves handling and functionality.
- Ideal for cased boreholes: Mikolit® 00 is particularly suitable for use in cased boreholes, as it closes the gap volume safely and reliably.
Application recommendation
A small intermediate layer of sand should be placed between the clay seal and the filter gravel. This intermediate layer serves as an additional barrier and ensures an even more effective seal.
Mikolit® 300 M – Bentonite-containing sealing clay in pellet form
Mikolit® 300 M is a specially developed sealing clay in pellet form that is moderately swellable and contains bentonite. The swelling capacity of the pellets is designed in such a way that a considerable swelling capacity remains after the void volume has been closed. This enables the clay layer to restore itself in the event of subsidence in the ground, thus ensuring a permanent seal.
Product features of Mikolit® 300 M:
- Firmer clay layer after water absorption: After water absorption, a non-water-saturated, firmer clay layer is created, which provides a stable and long-lasting seal.
- Excellent pouring properties: Mikolit® 300 M is dust-free and has a very delayed onset of swelling. The pellets have favorable dimensional ratios and a higher density, which facilitates handling and enables even distribution.
- No bonding: Despite the high swelling dimension, there is no bonding between the drill pipe and the sealing clay, which increases functionality and reliability.
- Ideal for cased boreholes: Mikolit® 300 M is particularly suitable for use in cased boreholes and ensures reliable sealing even under difficult conditions.
- Good sealing in salty water: Even when used in salty water, the sealing performance of Mikolit® 300 M is maintained.
Application recommendation
A small intermediate layer of sand should be placed between the clay seal and the filter gravel. This intermediate layer serves as an additional barrier and ensures an even more effective seal.
Compactonit® Type S – bentonite clay pellets for reliable annular space and borehole sealing
Compactonit® Type S is a sealing clay in pellet form, developed for the efficient sealing of annular spaces and boreholes. Produced by vacuum extrusion, these swellable pellets are particularly efficient and versatile.
Product features
High swelling capacity: The pellets swell considerably as soon as they come into contact with water and form a dense, impermeable barrier.
High sinking speed and delayed start of swelling: Compactonit® Type S pellets sink quickly and only start to swell after a delay, which enables controlled application.
Free from organic additives: This product contains no organic additives, which ensures its chemical stability and environmental compatibility.
Areas of application
Compactonit® Type S is manufactured in accordance with DIN 4904 and is ideal for sealing annular spaces in well drillings and for backfilling boreholes. The cylindrical pellets are resistant to contaminated water, microbiologically harmless and chemically unalterable.
Clay pellets Medium Magnetic Active – High-performance swelling clay pellets
Clay pellets Mittel Magnetic Aktiv are specially developed swelling clay pellets that are particularly suitable for sealing annular spaces and boreholes. The pellets are preferably used in mechanically supported boreholes where increased detectability by magnetic logging is required. These properties make them an excellent choice for complex and demanding sealing projects.
Properties
- Vacuum extruded: The pellets are produced by vacuum extrusion, which maximizes their density and structural stability.
- Swellable: These clay pellets swell considerably when they come into contact with water and form a reliable seal.
- Low abrasion: The pellets have low abrasion, which increases their durability and efficiency.
- High sinking speed: The pellets sink quickly, enabling rapid and effective application.
- Strongly delayed start of swelling: The swelling process starts with a delay, which allows controlled placement of the pellets.
- High structural stability: The pellets retain their shape and strength even under difficult conditions.
- Increased magnetic detectability: Thanks to their magnetic properties, the pellets are particularly easy to detect using magnetic logging.
- Free from organic additives: Guaranteed without lignosulfonic acid and other organic additives, which ensures their chemical stability and environmental compatibility.
